Woodworking requires patience, care and awareness.

We work with sharp blades and moving parts. Our woodworkers must understand consequences and take responsibility for following safety practices. Using tools improperly or under the influence of alcohol or drugs may lead to serious injury so this is not accepted. We also ask that you not attempt any technique unless you fully understand it. If you are unsure of something, it is always OK to ask questions, even if you feel a bit silly. It is our role to provide you with instruction, so rely on us for assistance and guidance. There are no stupid questions.

We will ask you to sign a liability awareness and release form before beginning any workshop so that we know you are aware of any risks and your responsibilities to yourself, your classmates and the Studio.

Registration Information

Class fees are comprised of tuition and usually a materials fee. Some materials cost may not be determined until the end of class.

Paying with credit card: You may pay with a credit card online through Paypal (see class schedules). Some classes offer an option to pay only a deposit. Full payment (or a deposit if applicable) is required to secure your spot in a class. A refund is available up to 7 days before the start of a class. There is a $25 cancellation fee for cancelling or transferring tuition to another class.

Refunds: Refunds are available until 7 days prior to any class, workshop, or lecture starting. Refunds will be made using the original payment method. Refunds for PayPal payments may also deduct 3% for the PayPal transaction fee. Any refund can also be transferred as a credit or gift certificate to any class or materials.

Privacy Policy: It is our expressed policy not to sell or otherwise share customer name or contact information with other companies. Period. Any information provided to The Northwest Woodworking Studio will remain confidential. If you request information on classes, we will put your name on our mailing list.
